CHAPTER FIVE
5:1 This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God Elohiym created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called את them “Mankind” in the day they were created. 3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and he called את his name Seth. 4 After he begot את Seth, the days of Adam were eight hundred years; and he had sons and daughters. 5 So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died. {s} Gen 5:1-5 chiasm
5:6 And Seth lived a hundred and five years, and begot את Enosh. 7 And Seth lived after he begot את Enosh eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters. 8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died. {s} Gen 5:6-8 chiasm

5:15 And Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and begot את Jared. 16 And Mahalalel lived after he begot את Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters. 17 And all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years; and he died. {s} Gen 5:15-17 chiasm
5:18 And Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and begot את Enoch. 19 And Jared lived after he begot את Enoch eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. 20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years; and he died. {s} Gen 5:18-20 chiasm
5:21 And Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begot את Methuselah. 22 And Enoch walked with God Elohiym after he begot את Methuselah three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. 23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24 And Enoch walked with God, and he was not; for God took him. {s} Gen 5:21-24 chiasm
5:25 And Methuselah lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot את Lamech. 26 And Methuselah lived after he begot את Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters. 27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died. {s} Gen 5:25-27 chiasm
5:28 And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son. 29 And he called את his name Noah, saying, “This same shall comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, which comes from the ground which YHVH has cursed.” 30 And Lamech lived after he begot את Noah five hundred and ninety-five years, and begot sons and daughters. 31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years; and he died. {s} Gen 5:28-31 chiasm
